Although some refer to the large body of water surrounding Red Bank as the “Red Bank River”, the name of the river is the Navesink. Red Bank takes full advantage of its prime waterfront location, boasting many restaurants and promenades with spectacular water views. Every June Red Bank is host to “Riverfest”, a music, food and arts festival that draws over 100,000 people. The annual Fourth of July fireworks over the river in Red Bank is the largest local display outside of the Macy’s display in New York.
Visitors to Red Bank may also enjoy the river on boats, canoes or kayaks. Views of the large estate homes across the river in Middletown and Rumson can be had from most of Red Bank’s waterfront area.
